INVITATION TO BID TOWN OF CHARLESTOWN, NH PECOR ROAD CULVERT REPLACEMENT PROJECT General Notice The Town of Charlestown, NH (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project: Pecor Road Culvert Replacement (Jabes Hackett Brook) CHANH 003‐2025 Bids for the construction of the Project will be received at the Town Administrative Office’s located at 233 Main Street (or PO Box 834), Charlestown, NH 03603, until Thursday, February, 19th at 3:00pm local time. At that time the Bids received will be reviewed privately by the town clerk, road agent, and engineering consultant. The final contractor selection shall take place at the next scheduled Board of Selectman’s meeting, after which all bidding contractors will be notified of the results. The Project includes the following Work: Removal of the existing (2) corrugated metal pipe culvert(s), (1) 48” and (1) 72”, and replace with a 16’‐0” span x 6’‐6” rise precast concrete rigid frame bridge, along with the associated roadway and grading work. The project has a contractual duration (final completion) of 45 calendar days, excluding procurement of the precast rigid frame bridge. The project shall be completed during the 2026 construction season, during low flow, and prior to November 1st, 2026. *Please note that the town will be purchasing the precast rigid frame bridge directly from Michie Concrete Products, LLC. The structure will be ready for delivery by February 1st, 2026. Page 2 of 2 Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid security in the form of a certified, treasurer’s, or cashier’s check or bid bond in the sum of five (5) percent of the bid price. The owner reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids, should the owner deem it to be in the public interest to do so. All questions concerning the bid documents shall be directed to Michie Concrete Products, LLC. The contractor shall be selected based on the completeness of the bid, relevant experience, and construction schedule. Lump sum price will be a factor; however, it may not be the determining factor. Pre‐bid Conference A mandatory pre‐bid conference for the Project will be held on Wednesday, February 2nd at 10:00am at the project location (just north of 35 Pecor Road). Bids will not be accepted from Bidders that do not attend the mandatory pre‐bid conference, unless prior arrangements have been made with the owner or the owners representative.
